Haneet advises clients on a diverse range of legal and strategic issues with a primary focus on Indigenous governance and aboriginal rights and title matters.

Haneet works with clients to advance and negotiate reconciliation agreements with British Columbia and Canada. She assists clients with the development and implementation of modern self-governance structures and provides advocacy and support for clients in the negotiation process to ensure the client’s best interests are at heart.

Haneet works with clients in other areas of governance to protect and advance their interests, including negotiating and developing specific claims, constitutions, election codes, citizenship codes and other governance tools.  

Haneet brings a supportive and versatile approach to the practice of law to help clients achieve fiscal and cultural independence and to ensure their inherent recognition of aboriginal rights and title to their land.

When she’s not in the office, you will find Haneet on the ice. She is a former university athlete and a true advocate for women’s sports by continuing to play an instrumental role in supporting the next generation of athletes as a coach.
